5-16-08 - Gray/White Hair

I discovered a gray hair. Before I yanked it out I made sure that it was an old wives' tale that if I yanked it out, more would sprout... something like that. Anyways, it's completely false so I pulled it out.

That the third gray hair that I've had in my life. WEIRD. I'm getting old.

Why do they call it gray when it's white?

:P they call it grey because once you get enough white hair your head looks grey. The mixture of dark and light.

I think I have gotten about seven white hairs in the past three years, and every time I do I temporarily freak out and try to show someone. I guess it's okay if it's just one at a time, but if I ever find a cluster...

Side story -- I had a science teacher in middle school who had completely white hair, and she told us once that it had been that way since she was 18!
